Pawapi is a small family business on a natural patch of land along the east coast of Koh Mook/Muk Island, inside the Hat Chao Mai Marine National Park..
The initiative was taken in 2010 and so building of our first, Thai style elevated bungalows began.
The restaurant and beach bar were added shortly after in order to cater to visitors desires and needs.
As our island is still pretty much a “sleepy” vacation island unlike the much more established islands along the Thai coasts, the request for more up-scale accommodation emerged and so, Pawapi now provides larger all stone beach Villa’s, a large fresh water pool and a brand-new roomy lobby(operational end of March 2019) .
In order to maintain the tropical Island "feel" the 23 bungalows, villas, pool, lobby and beach bar are set on a large piece of beach-front land covered with coconut and other tropical trees.
This beach is still themed with live such as crabs, hermits foraging happily at low tide, literally thousands of small wenching-crabs at the shoreline and fine, white, beach sand crisping under your feet.
Pawapi resort supports the local community by employing as many people from this island at the resort in various jobs such as our housekeeping, gardeners, security, kitchen and waiting staff as we possibly can.
At Pawapi we are able to talk to you in Thai, English, German and Dutch.
You may support our efforts locally by booking your stay on Koh Mook/Muk directly with Pawapi.
